§ 82-51. Notice of nonparticipation.

The city clerk is hereby authorized to transmit a certified copy of this ordinance to the board of trustees of the firefighter's retirement system and to the department of the treasury, through the state treasurer, so that the board and the state treasurer may be informed that this municipality has adopted this exemption ordinance pursuant to the authority of Louisiana Revised Statutes 33:2153A(1)(b), and as such, has elected not to participate in the Louisiana State Firefighter's Retirement System.
