§ 70-22. Members; terms of office; appointment.

The playground and recreation board shall consist of seven members who shall be appointed by the mayor of the city with approval of the council. The term of office shall be five years and until their successors are appointed and qualified except the members first appointed shall be appointed for such terms that the term of at least one member shall expire annually after creation of the board. Vacancies occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled by appointment by the presiding officer of the governing body for the unexpired term.
