§ 62-350. Public handicapped parking; authority for designation.

The director of public works and/or police chief is hereby authorized to determine the need for, and to designate, by proper signs, ramps, and/or markings, areas on public streets, on public sidewalks, and in and on publicly owned property, buildings, and parking facilities which are to be reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles bearing license plates issued to handicapped drivers, disabled veterans, or for wheelchairs. The director of public works shall determine and designate the appropriate signs, ramps, and/or markings to be used to designate such parking and accessibility area.
