§ 38-26. Protective treatment.

  • All exterior wood surfaces other than treated and decay resistant woods shall be protected from the elements and decay by the application of an appropriate coat of paint or other protective covering or treatment, that said coat of paint or other protective covering or treatment should be uniform in application, should be a covering without peeling or flaking, and should provide appropriate protection from the elements and decay.
