§ 30-151. Abandoned automobiles.

No inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept, stored or abandoned on any occupied or unoccupied property, neutral ground, street or sidewalk within the city, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of major disassembly, disrepair, or in the process of being stripped or dismantled unless specifically authorized by chapter 74 of the Code of Ordinances. Painting of vehicles is prohibited unless conducted inside an approved spray booth.

Exceptions:

A vehicle of any type is permitted to be stored or undergo major overhaul, including body work, provided that such work is performed inside a structure or similarly enclosed area designed and approved for such purposes.

Routine maintenance and minor repairs which can be performed within a brief time-frame, not more than seven days, is permitted.
